Hogback Island (Grand Island Road) is listed as a public launch on Steamboat Slough, with restrooms, a boarding float, and trailer parking noted on the State Parks facilities page. Launching on Steamboat Slough is not the same as putting in on the Sacramento mainstem — plan the run to the travel lanes you want to fish, and account for tide, traffic, and navigation before you leave the basin.

Georgiana Slough Launch

The Georgiana Slough public launch (Andrus Island Road area) is listed on Georgiana Slough rather than the Sacramento mainstem. It is a useful alternate staging point when town parking is tight or when you intentionally want slough access. Again: confirm which waterway you will fish and which regulation subsection applies before you treat a slough put-in as “Sacramento salmon water.”

Marinas and Nearby Alternates

Isleton’s marina cluster is dense. Facilities such as Perry’s Boat Harbor & Drydock (500 Brannan Island Road) are listed as public marina / launch / dry-storage on the Mokelumne River side of the local delta network — useful services, different waterway. Other resorts and harbors around Isleton appear in the State Parks county listings; call ahead for transient launch rules, fuel, and weekend capacity.

Downstream toward Rio Vista, Brannan Island State Recreation Area offers a large multi-lane launch and camping on the lower peninsula between the Sacramento River and Three Mile / Seven Mile Sloughs.
